 Welcome to Cherrydarrling Booked!  

I'm so happy to meet and interact with fellow readers.  I am a recovering grad student (graduated this past May!) endeavoring to get out of a reading rut with the bonus goal of working through my TBR pile.  I'm a  sucker for a good subscription book box.  With the added challenges of homework, work, and life, those books have seriously started piling up. That's where this blog and bookstagram comes in!  My goal is to start working through my pile while also working through new reads that I pick up along the way.  

Favorite book of all time: To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee

Favorite book of 2022 (so far!): Love Hypothesis - Ali Hazelwood

Favorite book series: Mortal Instruments - Cassandra Clare

Favorite genre:  Fiction and Young Adult. 

Lease favorite genre: Horror.  I grew up watching horror movies and reading Stephen King books and I actually can't handle them anymore.  

Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw

I like to read books after watching the movie adaptations to see what was changed and get more info!

I have a Kindle, but I'm one of those readers that loves the feel of reading a physical book.  I've definitely moved into using the e-reader more often than I used to though.

Weird Fact: One of my favorite things about New Orleans is that it kind of smells like old books when it rains.  Can't be the smell of old books. 

I'm sure there is more to share, but this post has already taken me a while to compose.  I look forward to meeting and interacting with everyone!
